Sometimes you just need a project…

I really enjoy self initiated projects. They allow me to dive into a subject with preset rules and guidelines in order to flex my creative muscle. Some time ago I decided that I wanted to undertake a daily challenge, so I set forth in creating an illustration each day that represented a historical event. It turned into the equivalent of those old tear-away desktop calendars with fun facts… except this time it was being created in real time. I created and posted an image a day for a year and had a blast. it was a great exercise in deadline drive creativity, Here are a few of the images, and a wrap up video I posted on day 365.
